I had the amazing opportunity to develop the identity and communication design for a new woodworking school in British Columbia. Inside Passage School of Fine Woodworking’s teachings are driven by skill and precision as well as an internal foundation of patience, integrity and quiet reflection.
The work and philosophies of acclaimed cabinet maker, James Krenov, are the inspiration not only for the curriculum but also for the stylistic treatment of the visual identity. The swooping “P” is in reference to the delicate poised legs of his signature cabinets. The dot of the “I” has been treated as a dovetail joint.
